Salad
Lettuce or Spinach Salad

Recycle that good sweet pickle vinegar.

Shred lettuce or fresh spinach for 4-5 servings. Sprinkle on 2—3 tablespoons chopped onion 1/2 red sweet pepper or small amount of hot peppers and a generous sprinkling of seasoned or garlic salt.

Fry 2-3 slices of diced bacon, remove from pan and drain on paper towel.

Pour all grease from pan and add:
1/4 c. sweet pickle vinegar
2 tablespoons regular vinegar
1 tsp. sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt

Swirl mixture in pan and pour bubbling hot over greens. Lift salad with a fork to allow hot dressing to seep through. Arrange diced bacon over top.
