Basic Spanish Sauce

Use for Basic Chicken Barbeque Sauce!

A real meat stretcher to be used in at least a dozen ways. Delete any spices that you may not care for. Use them sparingly for the first time as the flavor gets stronger and salt more noticeable as it cooks due to evaporation.Use a large heavy kettle.
1−46 oz. can tomato juice
2 large onions chopped
1 Tbsp. chili powder
2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 c. vinegar
2 tsp. garlic salt or a pounded garlic clove
2/3 tsp. ground cumin or whole seed, if you prefer
1/4 c. br.own sugar
No salt needed if garlic salt is used.

Put all together, bring to a boil and turn heat down to simmer for 25-30 minutes.
Make extra and freeze any sauce left over from your meat dish in one or two cup freezer containers. It is wonderful to have ready for flavoring vegetable soups and stews.
