Candy "Strawberries"

1/2 c. finely ground nuts (can be mixed, walnuts, blanched almonds or pecans)
1 3/4 c. cocoanut, ground fine
1 large and 1 small pkg. strawberry gelatine
14 oz. can sweetened condensed (not evaporated) milk
1/2 c. powdered sugar

Mix nuts, cocoanut, powdered sugar and 2/3 of the gelatine, saving remaining gelatine to roll strawberries in.

Add condensed milk and work into dry mixture with a mixing spoon.

Cover and chill a few hours or overnight. Shape into "strawberries" and roll in dry gelatine.

Mix 1/4 c. powdered sugar with 2-3 tsp. cold water and a drop or two of green food coloring. Place a dab of green on large end of berry and make a hole with point of a knife. Insert “stem” in hole, made of green candied pineapple spears, rolled in sugar. Let dry.
