Cinnamon Loaf

Prepare Basic Doughnut Dough

Divide dough in half. Roll into two oblongs and spread with butter or margarine, as for cinnamon rolls. Sprinkle generously with brown sugar and cinnamon. Dot with raisins, if desired. Roll up and place in greased bread pans with seam on the bottom. Make three shallow cuts in the top and let rise to nearly double.

Bake about 45 minutes at 350-375°F, medium brown. Let rest in the pans a few minutes when removed from oven. Run a knife around loaf needed,to turn out on a board or towel. When partly cooled spread tops with icing, if desired. Delicious sliced, buttered and heated in oven at serving time.
