Cinnamon Rolls

Prepare Basic Sweet Roll Dough.

Spread dough with softened butter or margarine and sprinkle generously with brown sugar. Dot with washed raisins, if desired. Roll up and pinch edges together. Slice 3/4 inch thick and arrange slices in well-greased pan or cookie sheet half-inch apart. Let rise double in size and bake 18-20 minutes at 350-400°. May brush with butter and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon mix, or frost with powdered sugar glaze (see Icings section).

Remember that ovens may vary. Don’t over bake. Experience will soon tell you what your baking time and temperature should be.
