Cream of Corn or Green Pea Soup

Over low heat, cook 1 cup pureed corn or peas, canned or leftovers, with 4 to 6 soda crackers rolled fine, and a small lump of butter or margarine. When thick, add 1 1/2 cups milk or milk mix, your choice of seasonings, and heat to almost boiling. (Add a squirt or two of evaporative milk, according to taste and dietary allowance.) Makes two soup bowl servings. Add garnishes when serving.
