Green Beans

Boil ‘til tender with a piece of salt pork, ham or bacon. Or just salt while cooking, then add pepper and butter, if desired.

If you’d like to dress them up, put cooked or canned green beans in a casserole with or without minced onion. Cover with cream of mushroom soup diluted with equal parts of water, dot with cooked, crumbled bacon and/or grated cheese.

Bake in moderate oven of 350°F approximately 30 minutes. Sprinkle with paprika (optional).
