Cooking for Daily Living

Sift into bowl:
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 Tsp. powdered whey (optional)

Stir in:
1/2 c. All Bran cereal, or quick cooking oatmeal
1/2 c. water or milk
1 egg, unbeaten
2 (full) Tbsp. cooking oil or melted shortening.
May add 1/2 c. floured huckleberries, blueberries, raisins, or cut dates and/or dust tops with cinnamon and brown sugar.

Place in muffin tin, makes approximately 10 muffins. Bake 18-20 minutes at 400°F or ‘til nicely browned.
