No-Egg Baked Rice

This is an “oldie” and can be made with part powdered milk.

Set oven to 350-400°F.

1/2 c. uncooked rice
1/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1 qt. milk, or more

Bake in a 2 qt. casserole, approximately 2 1/2 hours stirring milk under each time it browns. Serve warm with a "spooning" of fruit syrup, cream or hot milk sauce.
