Old Country Coffee Cake

Prepare Basic Sweet Roll Dough.

Roll or cut a circle approximately 7 inches in diameter and press into a greased 9 inch pie pan.

Mix a topping of:
3/4 c. cottage cheese
1/4 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. flour
1 egg, beaten
Few raisins, dried currants or cut dates.

Mash cottage cheese and add other ingredients. Spread on top of dough to 1 inch inside edge. Let rise ‘til light and bake at 350-375°F about 25 minutes, or ‘til medium brown around edges. Topping should not brown. Frost or glaze edges and sprinkle cheese topping with brown sugar and cinnamon. Serve warm. Cut with a very sharp knife or break apart with two forks.
