Cooking for Daily Living

1 c. flour
1 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. water
1 Tbsp. powdered whey (may substitute 1/4 c. milk for water and whey)
1 egg, unbeaten
2 Tbsp. oil or melted shortening

Beat ‘til smooth and fry on medium hot griddle or heavy skillet, lightly greased. Turn when bubbles begin to stay. Cook slightly longer on second side so turning won’t be necessary.
