My Forty Years Scribblin's
Epilogue

The original 40 Years Scribblin's was compiled and printed in 1998 as a tribute to Mildred Chaffin's 90th Birthday. Mildred's memory and mind remained as sharp as ever in her final years, and she continued to write and publish stories until the time of her passing on October 29, 2001 at the age of 93. Her last story to the Rocky Mountain Elk Bugle magazine was printed posthumously in the March/April 2002 issue. 40 Years Scribblin's is printed here in its entirety, with this epilogue added to include interviews of her and Allen and the stories which she had published after 1998.

The book Cabin Fever (1989) to which Mildred contributed is still available, although the publication Montana's Little Legends is out of print, as is her autobiography Once Upon a Lifetime.
